With a love for traditional design, Troy’s gardens suit elegant homes in any part of the world. Great thoughtfulness and conviction is given to deliver the very best in quality, aesthetic, functionality and purpose. Troy creates gardens that are extensions of the home’s interiors. There is a connection historically as well as architecturally align with the personalities and lifestyles of those who reside there.
Troy began designing gardens while in horticulture at Auburn University. His interest and passion for beautiful gardens took root as a child raised in a family of artists, gardeners, and writers. He was destined to thrive along this pathway of beauty, reverence for creation, and providing others with the experience of an awakened spirit that surfaces in the context of ones own garden sanctuary.
Troy embraces each opportunity to bring his 20+ years of expertise to clients and form new business partnerships. He is innately talented and sure to use his gifts to enrich others' lives with his calm demeanor, thoughtful approach and honesty. He sees life as a garden intended to share with others.
Troy is based in Birmingham, Alabama.
Design AssistantHannah joined our team in 2017 as an Assistant Garden Designer. In her role, she assists in meeting with clients to help bring their ideas into reality through a step-by-step plan. She also works with Troy and the client to coordinate the installation and gathering of the various elements for the implementation of the design plan.
Hannah takes the lead in creating promotional material to share Troy Rhone Garden Design’s portfolio with future clients as well as other designers. She enjoys fostering relationships between Troy Rhone Garden Design; current clients, future clients and design professionals through written and verbal communication.
Hannah delights in partnering with individuals to find and cultivate the potential in their gardens. Her interest in garden design began while living in Germany during high school. While visiting gardens and castles in Germany, France, the Netherlands and Scotland, Hannah gained an appreciation for European gardens that continue to influence her designs.
She received degrees in Horticulture and German from Auburn University before moving to Birmingham in 2015 to join a landscape design firm.
